All offline paper formation submissions to Companies House will be phased out completely in 2014.
What should I do after incorporating?
We take care of the formation of your company with Companies House, which automatically registers you as a limited company.
However it is important to also consider whether you need to register yourself with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). An accountant should be able to support you with both this and deciding whether there are any other organisations that you specifically need to register your business with.
How long is the formation likely to take?
A company can be formed in as quickly as 3 working hours, as long as the incorporation complies with the Companies House company registration regulations.
How do I check the progress of my formation?
Once you have started the formation process you will be able to login to our site and see the progress of your order. To login, please click on the 'Your Account' button at the top of the page and enter in your email address and password.
Under your company name you can select 'more info' and click the 'View History' link next to the formation you want to track. You will be able to see the state of any order you have placed with us here.
When your formation has been accepted by Companies House, your company status will turn Green and you will be able to download electronic copies of your legal documents by clicking the 'Electronic Documents' link.
What should I do if I have forgotten my password?
If you have forgotten your password we are happy to send you a new one.
You can either click the 'Forgotten your password' link available when you click 'Log in' at the top of the page.
Where are my electronic documents?
When your formation has been accepted by Companies House, your company status will turn Green on your dashboard (the page you see when you log in).
Once this has happened you will be able to view and download electronic copies of your legal documents by selecting the company name and then clicking the document name from the documents list.
Where are my printed documents?
Customers who have purchased one of our upgraded packages, or add-ons, may be due to receive physical documents by mail.
We aim to have all physical documents to you within 3-5 business days. If more than 5 business days have passed since the confirmation of your company formation from Companies House and your documents have still not arrived please contact our support team at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Can I change my company name?
Yes, you can request a company name change by visiting Companies House website (www.companieshouse.gov.uk) and completing a NM01 form (notice of change of name by resolution).
How can I change my company registered address?
You can change your company registered address by visiting Companies House website (www.companieshouse.gov.uk) and completing an ADO4 form (change of location of the company records to the registered office).
