Did you know?

Most business owners leave setting up their accounting and tax processes to the last minute?

The problem is that it is one of the most important things a business owner has to do. Done right this can have huge financial and operational benefits, especially for new limited companies.

What are your options?

Whilst there are many providers of accounting and tax services, there are three ways to carry out your tax and accounting processes.

1. Hiring an accountant

An accountant will use their expert knowledge to help your business grow and make sure that you don’t miss any key filing dates and avoid penalties. They can help you reclaim as much VAT as possible, but they can have a lot of clients and you might not be their top priority and can be expensive.

2. DIY accounting software

DIY software does exactly as it says on the tin, it’s a piece of software that allows you to do everything you need in one place. They are cost-effective The issue is that you will not have an accountant’s expertise and if you’re new to all things tax, you could leave yourself exposed to penalties and fines for late or incorrect filings as well as not claiming as much VAT as you might be able to.

3. Hybrid

This option has the best of both worlds. You can use software to do the day to day tasks, but you will still receive advice and guidance from an accountant. The issue here is that these models can be costly.

What we think?

In our opinion, the hybrid option is best suited for new limited companies.

This is because you will have the tools to efficiently carry out the day to day tasks yourself, but you will still benefit from the expert advice and guidance from an accountant. The only downside we can see is the cost. But as our customer, this won’t concern you.

We’ve teamed up with Crunch, who work on a hybrid model where you will get all the tools you could need for tax and accounting, whilst getting unlimited accountancy guidance and sup[port and a dedicated client manager for half the price they would normally charge!

This means you will get the tools you need, all the advice and guidance you could want, for half the normal price!
